Summer Hair Care

Tue, 2020-06-16

Keeping your hair alive in the bright summer sun!

It's summertime and you know what that means. That’s right, fried and dried hair! The sun does as much to our hair as it does to our skin, luckily we can help save it from a crispy future. There are plenty of protective things you can do to keep your hair shiny and strong.

First we will start with pool rules.  Chlorine is very destructive to a person’s hair but it’s no fun to sit out or constantly be worried your hair will get wet. A simple step is to wet your hair before hand with non chlorinated water. Most public pools have showers you could use and if you’re in your friends back yard there is sure to be a hose somewhere you could barrow. Hair will soak up the water and when the cuticle is full of water it will soak up a lot less chlorine. Kind of like a sponge, if its dry it will soak up as much as possible, if it’s wet it doesn’t take much. Once you are done swimming rise your hair with water once more and then you are good to go on your way.

The next step is protecting it from the sun and UV rays. Not only does it damage your hair it also causes your hair color to fade.  This is the most depressing thing after you pay for that brand new color. There are plenty of oils and sprays that you can use. It’s like sunscreen for your hair! The coolest thing is that there are water resistant UV protection hair oils as well, so even at the beach you will be protected all day long.

So we have the protection pretty well right now but there is a classic way to protect your hair that doesn’t involve oils or water. Hats! The most foolproof way to make sure the sun isn’t stripping your hair is to cover it up completely. Take it as a fashion challenge and up your wardrobe game! This will also protect your scalp from the sun as well. Looking cute and being protected? It’s a win-win!

Now you have gone all day with either protecting it or not and you want to know your next step. Conditioner. Conditioners job is to hydrate your hair and make is silky and smooth! So make sure you are using it every other day and leaving it on for 15 minutes to really let it soak in. There are all sorts of great conditioners out there for color, or extra strength, you just have to find the one best for you. Not sure if the conditioner is strong enough to save your hair? Then get a conditioning treatment. This can be bought or done at salons and it really gives your hair back some of the life it lost in the sun.

Lastly and most important you need a fantastic brush! Think about all the knots and damage your hair gets in the summer. Now think about you yanking a cheap brush through all that and ruining your once beautiful hair. It’s enough to make you cry, isn’t it? Tan Mujiang has a variety of amazing brushes that won’t tear out your hair. Feel as beautiful as the brushes look while carefully combing or brushing the beach away. It’s so important that your brush be up to standards in everyday life especially if you have some damage to it. No need for static from a brush to ruin your look or for your long hair to get layers because of damage. The most important thing to remember is that from sun up to sun down your are always moving and you hair gets knotty and frizzy. A high quality brush will save you so much time later on from having to work around split ends or unwanted frizz.

So enjoy the sun and enjoy the summer but remember there are ways to keep your hair picture perfect!

Taking Care of Your Skin

Tue, 2020-06-16

You get one body for your entire lifetime. It is important to take care of it. Not just with the nutrients that you put into it but also how to treat it from the outside. This means proper skincare and morturization as well as massaging your face, scalp, neck and back.

Proper Skincare:

This is a big one, exfoliation and moisturization are key to keeping your keep healthy and prepped for what the day can bring. Exfoliating your skin will help remove dead skin cells which will remove the dullness that your skin may have. Massaging in oil or lotion will help your skin from drying out.

Hydration:

I am sure it has been on everyone’s new years resolution to drink more water throughout the day, but it should be an everyday solution. Drinking more water does not only help the internals of your body but it is also essential for your skin. By staying hydrated it will also help hydrate your skin, allowing you to use less lotions and oils and focusing more on what goes into your body instead of supplements from outside sources.

Be Careful of Sunlight:

When going outside it is important to protect your skin from harmful rays. These rays will cause wrinkles, age spots and potentially have even more harmful effects to your skin.

Body Massaging

Tan Mujiang knows just how important skin care is on top of hair care. Tan Mujiang just release a body massager and face scraper to help keep your skin looking fresh.Beaded bristles are perfect for relieving pain, anxiety, illness and tension from your skin. Keeping your skin tighter and more youthful in the long run. Massaging your skin also helps boost blood flow circulation which smooths out skin.

Skin shouldn’t be a last minute, if you have time sort of commitment. Make time to keep your skin looking bright. Invest in yourself and your skin, start with all natural products and nourish your body.

Why Use A Wooden Comb: Top 6 Hair Benefits

Tue, 2020-06-16

Top 6 Hair Benefits of Wooden Comb

  1. The feel of wood on your scalp is amazing. It sort of gives you a mini scalp massage when you use it. This helps to increase the blood flow to the scalp – bringing lovely nutrients to the hair roots.
  2. No static either!
  3. The natural wooden fibers work great to condition your hair. As you comb, the natural oils from your scalp coat your hair shaft all the way down to the ends.
  4. Wide-tooth wooden combs don’t tend to pull or break the hair. And in my opinion combs are a better option than brushes, especially if you have curly hair. They glide through smoothly and make detangling so much easier. Comb your hair in sections that way it’s easier to undo the tangles.
  5. It may also help with dandruff. If your dandruff is due to dry scalp, regular massage with a wooden comb will normalise the oil production and eliminate dandruff.
  6. It also seems to add body and bounce to your hair.

How to Maintenance Your Comb

Thu, 2020-05-28
  • Maintenance: Regular play can make the surface of the combs more lustrous. Take
care not to drop them to avoid destroying their lacquer surface. Strong light and
intense heat will make the wood and lacquer surface stretch. Due to the different
expansion coefficients, the stretch may cause fine cracks on the lacquer surface and
damage the appearance of the combs.

  • Storage: Please put the combs on the desktop or dressing table after using them at
home. Do not store them with sundries, otherwise it may cause the deformation of
comb body, which is not easy to recover. Prevent the combs from rubbing against
hard objects in bag or handbag to avoid scratches on their lacquer surface.

  • Cleaning: Do not put the combs in warm water while cleaning yourself up. Be careful
to avoid soaking them in water for a long time to prevent the pigment from separating
out. Brush the combs gently with a soft brush while cleaning them and dry them
promptly with a towel after cleaning.

  • Weakness: The combs are made from natural materials with strength parallel to grain.
Do not soak the combs, expose them to strong sunlight, pull or throw them hard,
knocking them against hard objects, rub or scratch them.

10 Ways to Repair Damaged Hair

Thu, 2020-04-09

Straightening, curling, blow-drying, bleaching, coloring, crimping and the endless amounts of products really do a number on your hair. Even washing too often can create dry, brittle hair causing your hair to break.

So how can you fix broken hair? Well, the sad reality is that you can’t go back in time and the majority of hair damage is permanent because hair is a collection of dead cells, so damage is normally beyond repair. The main cure is time, and taking precautions to prevent any new damage. But don’t freak out just yet, there are targeted treatments that can help restore the outer cuticle of your hair and improve how it looks and feels.

1.Olive Oil/Coconut Oil/Avocado Oil
I know what you are thinking. I’m not cooking my hair, but this common cooking oil is known to rehydrate you hair and smooth out the outer cuticle. The oil will penetrate the shaft of your hair and moisturize.
If you are trying to treat your entire head you will need about 1/4C of oil. Massage it into your scalp and wrap your hair in a shower cap and allow the oil to soak in for 15 minutes. You will only need to use this treatment once a week or less for best results.
To rinse its suggested you use a wide toothed comb first to make post shower combing easier. After you rinse out the oil you may need to shampoo rigorously twice in order to get the oil out.

2.Eat a Balanced Diet
A diet loaded with foods like fruits and vegetables will help add benefits for your hair. Eating healthier will add vitamins A and C, Iron and Biotin to your body which is important for strong healthy hair.
Also it is important to drink enough water, this will help hydrate your skin and scalp making your hair healthier.

3.Focus on the Tips of Your Hair
Applying conditioner is a lot different then applying shampoo. The majority of us want to treat it the same way. When using conditioner you should start at the tip and massage it into the hair and eventually work upward.

4.Change Up Your Hair Care Routine
Hair products work a lot like exercise routines. If you do the same thing every day, your body will get used to the routine and it will not have as much of an impact on your body as if you were to switch up the workout.
Hair Products work the same way after using the same conditioner the conditioner will stop working in the same way. Once your hair starts to feel more moisturized you need to change the product to match the current state of your hair.

5.PROTECT! PROTECT! PROTECT!
If you are a constant hair damaging criminal and are used to blow-drying or using heat products daily, make sure you are using heat protectant products.
These will create a barrier between the heat and the hair cuticle. Most brands make a heat protectant, so choose your favorite and be sure to always apply before using heat: CHI, Bedhead, TREsemme & Moroccan Oil make highly rated heat protectants.

6.Choosing the Right Brush
This is a big one. We’ve all been there, staring at the endless amounts of hair brushes trying to figure out which is not going to snag our hair. There are a variety of brushes made for every texture, thickness and current state of your hair.
Tan Mujiang uses wooden bristle in order to cater to all hair types. The bristles are porous in order to evenly distribute natural oils throughout your hair without snagging your hair.

A wide tooth combs perfect for your wet hair, they will be less aggressive on vulnerable hair. Wooden hair brushes are perfect for smoothly brushing through dry or damp hair.

7.Clarifying Shampoo
Clarifying Shampoo is a lifesaver. If you are a lover of products your roots more than likely have a lot of build up. This causes your roots to feel oily while the rest of your hair may feel dry due to the damage.
A clarifying shampoo when massaged throughout your scalp and hair will break up the build up and leave your hair feeling clean and soft.

8.Hair Masks
If you are suffering from dry hair a hair mask will help rehydrate your damaged hair. Most masks require 3-45 minute sit time depending on the product. Using a mask helps incorporate more protein into your hair which will strengthen your hair.

9.Trim the Damage
If you can feel your hair being brittle or straw like, it is imperative that you get a trim before you try to restore it to health. You do not need to chop off 6 inches of your hair to achieve this, just trim the damaged edges or trim up layers to get rid of damage.

10.Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner
When picking out the perfect shampoo to heal your hair look for the more natural shampoos. These will exclude harsh chemicals like sulfates which are known to cause severe damage to color treated hair especially. They strip the moisture that your hair needs to remain healthy.

Bonus Tip!!!
Use hair oils & serum! Many hair companies make a penetrative hair oil that will help restore your hair. A little will go a long way with these oils. Apply it to your scalp and to the tips of your hair in order to keep your hair shiny and luxurious.

While you can’t turn back time for your hair’s health, you definitely can help try to limit uses of heat, chemicals and over all drying out your hair.
